Blog beginnings

The beginnings of my blog, hopefully a process of documenting my ongoing infatuation with pottery, poetry, good food, bad construction techniques, what have you.
We shall see how this goes, bear with me...

Hey Philip.... bravo for blogging. We have been doing it since we left Berea and it has been helpful in looking back and seeing our progress.

I look forward to seeing your new work. A few carbon trap pieces showed up in Google images and they looked great!

Have you ever thought about selling your work here: http://www.etsy.com/

We are just about finished building our personal house. We plan on having a studio in the basement so I hope to be back at it in the spring.

Keep up the good work.

Philip!

I was elated to find you so easily through the use of our dear friend, Google. Haha! How did we live without Google, and when did it become both a verb and a noun?

On to important matters: You have been on my mind a lot lately. I have been presented with the opportunity to teach at the pottery studio where I am working. Not a college, but quite fantastic. I am a LITTLE nervous!

The first night class is this Thursday and in true procrastinator form, I have just begun to write my syllabus. On my left is a copy of the ART 122Ceramic Productions 1 course hand out you gave us the first day of class--Yes I still have it Fall 2003--to use as inspiration.

Thank you for everything Philip--the beginning instruction, encouragement, patience, the seeds you planted--everything.

I am still enjoying your pottery very much! You once made a watering vessel, and wanted to throw it away-- do you remember? It has taken up residence in my living room, and I drink out of your rhino coffee mug at least once a week.
:o)
Wishing you the very best,

Carla
